High-profile, life-changing research additive manufacturing, optical materials, integrated computational science and engineering, materials for energy conversion and heat control, materials synthesis, processing and fabrication, and heritage conservation. Students work on aerospace vehicles, soundwaves to destroy toxic waste, phononic quantum computing and organic semiconductors for flexible electronics, for example.
